The Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce supports South Side Chicago Jobs - a free local hiring site that evolved when local neighborhood organizations wanted to help businesses in the community with their hiring needs. Businesses had been struggling after the pandemic to fully reopen in the way they would like without key staff members, and were impacted by a competitive hiring environment and lack of hiring resources, particularly geared toward small businesses.

 

Hiring fairs can be effective, but those are typically one-day events and don't address a business' ongoing need to fill positions. It can be time-consuming and expensive for a business owner to create and promote their own job postings, and they often don't reach enough people to be successful.

 

South Side Chicago Jobs is the free job board dedicated to Chicago's South Side business owners, organizations, and job seekers.
