Ethnic choices abound—Italian, Thai, Mediterranean, Chinese, Cajun, and Caribbean are just a few of the options. The Global Cuisine sensation Chant, for example, recently landed on Chicago Magazine’s list of hot restaurants.

For pizza and more, Hyde Park has Bob's Pizza, Giordano’sPizza Capri, and the perennial student favorite, Medici on 57th. Cafe 53 offers not only coffee and pastries but a new line of marvelous sandwiches. Sip & Savor features an array of coffees, other beverages and pastries.  And don't miss Philz Coffee at Capital One Cafe.

New restaurants like The Soul Shack, Can't Believe it's Not MeatMesler Kitchen, What's Krackin Southern Seafood, Stan's Donuts, Philz Coffee, Budlong Hot Chicken, Small Cheval and sweetgreen have added excitement and good eats to 53rd Street. 

Jimmy John's keeps creating sub sandwiches while Seven Ten Social offers fried chicken and Wagyu smash burgers. Both Subway and Unbeatable Eatables have a variety of sandwiches and salads.

The Harper Court family of eateries includes Jade CourtJa' Grille, Stan's Donuts and Bob's Pizza. Right around the corner is Kilwins for chocolate and ice cream!
