The 57th Street Children’s Book Fair is the largest independent children’s book fair in the Midwest. Now in its 22nd year, the book fair is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, from 1-6pm and takes place on 57th Street between Dorchester and Kimbark Avenues and along Kimbark Avenue between 57th and 56th Streets. The Book Fair is accessible by public transportation and is free and open to the public. This year’s fair promises to be even more exciting than last year’s with new vendors, entertainment, and dozens of educational and cultural institutions offering lots of hands-on activities for children.
