Maps & Directions: Getting Here by Car

The following directions will get you to the 53rd Street shopping district, home to Pizza Capri, the hot new Pan-Asian eatery Chant, and a lot more. For directions to a different part of the neighborhood or to a specific address, try Mapquest.

From downtown Chicago

• Head south on Lake Shore Drive.
• Exit at 53rd Street.
• At the end of the exit ramp, continue straight on 53rd Street through the viaduct.
• For parking, turn right immediately after the viaduct onto Lake Park Avenue.
• Turn left into the Harper Court parking lot.

From Midway Airport

• Go north on Cicero Avenue to the Stevenson Expressway (I-55).
• Take I-55 north to Chicago.
• Exit to Lake Shore Drive South.
• From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 53rd Street.
• At the end of the exit ramp, continue straight on 53rd Street through the viaduct.
• For parking, turn right immediately after the viaduct onto Lake Park Avenue.
• Turn left into the Harper Court parking lot.

From O’Hare Airport

• Take I-90 east to Chicago.
• Stay on I-90 past downtown Chicago.
• Exit to I-55 north and then to Lake Shore Drive South.
• From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 53rd Street.
• At the end of the exit ramp, continue straight on 53rd Street through the viaduct.
• For parking, turn right immediately after the viaduct onto Lake Park Avenue.
• Turn left into the Harper Court parking lot.

From Indiana

• Take I-65 north or I-80 west to the Skyway (I-90/94) westbound.
• Drive westbound on the Chicago Skyway westbound.
• Exit at Stony Island Avenue.
• Drive north on Stony Island Avenue to 56th Street.
• Turn left on 56th Street and drive one block under the viaduct.
• Turn right on Lake Park Avenue.
• For parking, turn left into the Harper Court parking lot immediately after crossing 53rd Street.

From the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94)

• Exit at Garfield Boulevard (55th Street).
• Drive east, following the signs for 55th Street through Washington Park.
• Turn left on Lake Park Avenue.
• For parking, turn left into the Harper Court parking lot immediately after crossing 53rd Street.

From the western suburbs

• Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) to I-90/94 East.
• Exit on the I-55 North Exit and then to Lake Shore Drive South.
• From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 53rd Street.
• At the end of the exit ramp, continue straight on 53rd Street through the viaduct.
• For parking, turn right immediately after the viaduct onto Lake Park Avenue.
• Turn left into the Harper Court parking lot.
